  • Snake River Transit is subject to ADA Complimentary Paratransit Requirements. Malheur Council on Aging (MCOA) (Oregon) operates the ADA paratransit services on behalf of Snake River Transit in both states, under a formal agreement with TVT. The ADA Complementary paratransit is called Snake River Access.
  • Snake River Access has a policy allowing visitor eligibility for at least 21 days in a 365 day period under the following circumstances: • Individuals with ADA paratransit eligibility certification from another transit system. • Individuals with proof of out-of-town residency (proof of disability may also be required if not apparent).
  • USDOT disability law guidance released in September 2005 indicates that ADA paratransit must be origin-to-destination service, and some customers may need to be accommodated in their need for assistance between the door and the vehicle unless it creates an "undue burden" or "fundamentally alteration" of service. This guidance can be found on the FTA website at: http://fta.dot.gov/civilrights/ada/civil_rights_3891.html.
